Introduction

After several years of struggling to squeeze in more than a couple of runs each week, and aware that the final years of my athletic prime were passing at a clip, I resolved to run every day for a year. Didn't manage it in 2006 (made it to then end of june), so hopefully the discipline of this blog and the £1 challenge will see me right in 2007.

January 2nd, 2007

35 - 40 minute run around the Whitton hills just as the sun was sinking. Toiling a bit on the climbs, but no sign of yesterday's sore throat. Gorgeous still evening after the high winds of the recent days, and a real joy to be out. Anooshka agreed - none of that maddening flapping of the ears! Snow on top of The Cheviot, clearly visible 10 miles to the east, and some visiting geese on the pond, chatting to the resident pair of swans.
